Hamilton’s Hottest Neighbourhood: Summit Park

Summit Park

It’s been a long, slow process. But over the past 10 years (or even longer), Hamilton has shed its reputation as the “Steel City.”

Today, as you discover Hamilton, you’ll find plenty of active, thriving neighbourhoods which are all about:

  • Family living
  • Great jobs
  • Public events
  • Green spaces

What’s even more exciting is that there’s no sign of these areas slowing down, becoming undesirable or growing old and stale.

Oh, and getting to and from these locations is incredibly easy; no matter where you are in the city.

If you’ve been thinking about buying a new home in Hamilton, the first place you should check out is Multi-Area Developments’ very own Summit Park Community.

Amenities galore

Summit Park – and its 3000+ residents – is located in the Hannon North area of the city.

At one time, Hannon North was nothing more than unused farmland. It always had great potential, which is now finally being fully realized as one of the best places to live in Hamilton.

First and foremost, brand new single and town homes are being built at a rapid pace. These high-quality houses are the perfect place to settle down and grow a family.

Additionally, a thriving network of local amenities is nearby:

  • Gas stations
  • Banks
  • Shopping
  • Medical offices
  • Public transit
  • Restaurants
  • Entertainment

And with the Summit Park Centre plaza opening soon at Rymal Rd. & Trinity Church Rd., you’ll have even more great amenities to choose from.

Summit Park is perfect if you’re looking for a new community to establish roots, raise a family and have all of life’s conveniences nearby.

High-quality schools (with more to come)

A big part of planning Summit Park is convenient access to great schools and education programs.

Right now, Summit Park is home to a separate high school (Bishop Ryan).

That’ll soon change, though.

To accommodate Summit Park’s growth, multiple new schools are being built:

  • Separate elementary school (Our Lady of Assumption) which is currently under construction at the corner of Fletcher Rd. and Bellagio Ave.
  • Public elementary school.

These new schools will have the latest equipment and be staffed by incredibly talented, compassionate and caring teachers.

Summit Park is perfect if you want to give your kids a great educational start from kindergarten all the way through high-school.

Although it’s great to be at home, sometimes you just need to get outside, breathe in some fresh air and enjoy what nature has to offer.

A big community feature of Summit Park is its proximity to parks and green spaces.

Within minutes, you can find yourself in:

  • Eramosa Karst Conservation Area
  • Valley Park Community Centre

Then there are parks within the community itself, with its expansive green space and family-friendly playgrounds for kids of all ages.

  • Summit Park (located off of Pinehill Drive)  featuring pavilion, basketball court and playground.
  • Bellagio Park (located off of Bellagio Ave in Summit Park)  featuring playground, pavilion and basketball court.

Just a short drive from Summit Park is other fantastic parks and conservation areas, including:

  • Binbrook Conservation area
  • Confederation Park
  • Fifty Point

Summit Park is perfect if you want to be bounded by unspoiled nature which is located just outside your doorstep.
